On this episode of the podcast, we continue to talk about our time in New Zealand. We make our way from Queenstown on the south island, to Auckland on the north island. These were the last few weeks of our first 6 month trip, and it was definitely an emotional roller coaster. I think it is safe to say that we felt everything from sadness, to anxiety, to anger, to excitement that we were nearing the end of our trip and on our way home. Making our way from Queenstown north, we had the opportunity to visit the fjords of Milford Sound, rafting in Rangata, hiking in Mount Cook, Kaikoura, Wellington, Rotorua, and finally Auckland. Along with discussing what we did, we also discuss what we missed out on doing, being out of money, dealing with emotions, as well as what it feels like to be going home after traveling for a few months. Fortunately, we ended our trip on a high note, as we had the opportunity to be shown around Auckland with 2 girls that we had met months before in Europe. Needless to say, it was pretty cool, and showed us just how easy it is to make “friends” while on the road.
Enjoy!
