Best Restaurants In Mexico City: 10 Amazing Places To Wine & Dine In

After spending a little over 3 amazing months in Mexico City, we’ve found a number of restaurants that we love in the city! You could spend years eating your way through this city, but here are a few of our favorites so far (in no particular order):

10 Best Restaurants In Mexico City

1. Tacos Orinoco

Tacos Orinoco is one of our favourite taco spots in Mexico City! There are multiple locations throughout the city, but we most often frequent the Condesa location. Tacos Orinoco is famous for it’s al pastor tacos, and this is definitely a must-try! They have awesome salsas, potatoes and agua de Jamaica to go along with the tacos of your choice.

2. Azul

There are a couple of different locations in the city, but we’ve only been to the Condesa location. Although this restaurant costs a bit more, it’s worth the splurge. Make sure you try the mole sauce, it’s unreal!

3. Ojo de Agua

We eat tacos A LOT here in Mexico City, and Ojo de Agua is a refreshing change from that. Ojo serves great breakfast, and really large portions of salad, smoothies and sandwiches. Everything we’ve had here is amazing and it’s a healthy alternative to lots of the other things you can eat in Mexico City!

4. Comedor de los Milagros

This place has an amazing vibe! It’s like a restaurant style food court. Grab a table and one of the servers will bring you a menu that will include all the options in the whole place. They specialize in South American dishes and amazing cocktails. This place is great to go with a group of friends!Best Restaurants In Mexico City: Comedor de los Milagros Best Restaurants In Mexico City: Comedor de los Milagros

5. Mora Mora

Mora Mora serves up vegan food, including smoothies, acai bowls, and delicious juices. It is another one of our favorite healthy options here in Mexico City and a great way to get some fruits and vegetables in amongst all the tortilla chips!

6. La Otilia

La Otilia is entirely gluten free. They have a massive menu, but specialize in gluten free baked goods. It’s been amazing to try all the local bread dishes (like Pan de Muerto) gluten free style!

7. La Zaranda

La Zaranda is a cute Mexican restaurant that does an assortment of tacos, or you can get an entire fish and make your own tacos, kind of fajita style. This has been one of our favorite places to stop at to and from work!

8. Contramar

Contramar is famous for their seafood, and especially their whole octopus. It’s a higher price point, but it’s worth the splurge for a special occasion! Oh, and don’t forget to get yourself a margarita!
