2020 Holiday Gift Guide for Digital Nomads

Happy holidays, everyone! While 2020 has not been the greatest year for travel, digital nomads across the globe have made the best of things, and we’re excited for the adventures that 2021 is sure to bring. For now, let’s celebrate the end of this wild season and the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year!

This year’s holiday gift guide is for the digital nomad in your life. Whether they’re gearing up for their next trip or patiently awaiting the end of quarantine, these items are sleek, practical, and ready to hit the road whenever they are.

Here are our 2020 holiday recommendations!

Manduka EKO Lite Yoga Mat

The Manduka EKO Lite is the best yoga mat for travelers who want to stay fit and healthy while on the road! Amanda never leaves home without this mat. It’s created with natural tree rubber, which not only makes it super lightweight but also eco-friendly. Plus, it provides catch grip for traction and has an open-air bottom to protect your digital nomad’s joints.

AirPods

Airpods are a must-have for long train, plane, or bus rides from location to location! They’re great for listening to music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. While they are a bit pricey, they’re also super comfortable and easy to set up for use with all Apple devices. A great gift for the traveler who is always untangling their wired earbuds!

Apple Magic Keyboard

We can truly work from anywhere with WiFi, but having an ergonomic setup is key to feeling good while working abroad. This is our favorite keyboard that travels everywhere with us! It has a built-in rechargeable battery, and it will pair automatically with your nomad’s Mac.

Nexstand Laptop Stand

Another key part of having an ergonomic setup is a laptop stand! This is the one we recommend. It fits with nearly all makes and models, is height-adjustable, and can hold up to 20 pounds, so your digital nomad’s laptop will be extra safe. Plus, it’s lightweight and foldable for stress-free packing!

Logitech Wireless Mouse

The final piece to the ergonomic setup is having a mouse! This is the one we use and love. It’s small, durable, and affordable. Plus, it has seven productivity shortcuts that your digital nomad can customize to fit their needs.

Sleep Master Eye Mask

Getting a good night’s sleep is so important for enjoying your time on the road, and it’s even more important when you have work to do! When you’re staying in Airbnbs, you can’t always control how much light there will be in a room, so make sure the digital nomad in your life does not leave home without a great eye mask. This is our favorite one, which we heard about from Tim Ferriss.

Maruman Mnemosyne Notebook

We can’t leave home without a notebook for journaling, to-do lists, etc., and after trying a lot of different notebooks, this one is definitely our favorite! It has 80 pages with college ruled lines, all bound with double wire. It even has header space for keeping track of travel dates!

Kindle Paperwhite

Reading is a staple for us, and traveling with a bunch of heavy books is just not feasible! The Kindle makes it onto our Holiday Gift Guide every year because it’s truly our favorite. Plus, the Kindle now has twice as much storage and is waterproof! Perfect for poolside days and beach vacations.

Lululemon Cruiser Backpack

You need a great backpack to pack everything into, and this is our go-to backpack that we’ve both used for years! It comes in two water-repellent fabric colors and includes spaces for a pair of sunglasses, a yoga mat, and a laptop.

Away Suitcase

These are our favorite suitcases for all of our travels! They come in assorted sizes and colors, are durable, and have 360 degree wheels, which make them easy for going from place to place.
