We’re growing quickly at The World Wanderers, so we are hiring an intern to help us with audio editing and growth projects.
If you want to start a podcast, or already have one, this role will teach you directly how to produce a show, find great guests, and grow a podcast audience.
This is an unpaid role that requires less than 10 hours a week. If you kick ass and want more, there is a ton of opportunities to learn and do more.
Why are we taking on an intern?
We have a lot of projects and opportunities, but not enough time to put them all into action. We need some help to make this the most productive year of our lives.
We want to hire and work with someone that is ambitious, eager to learn, creative, and on board with our mission.
That’s where you come in.
What you will do:
This isn’t a simple, routine task internship. You are going to be learning valuable skills and exercising your judgment. You’ll have a lot of opportunities to bring your skills and expertise to the role and to find new ways to create value for The World Wanderers.
The main component of this role will be as a producer of the podcast, including:
- Simple editing of interviews
- Pitching guests
- Writing episode show notes
- Finding creative ways to grow our audience
- Identifying and pitching potential sponsors
As an intern, you will be working with us directly. We’ll teach you everything we know about creating great podcast content, pitching guests, writing show notes, and finding sponsors.
On top of that, you have the opportunity to build your personal brand by contributing content to our blog.
What we need:
You need to be an independent and self-motivated learner. We will help as much as possible, but you need to have the judgment to know when to find an answer on Google vs. when to stop and ask us a question.
You understand what we are about and are eager to help The World Wanderers grow.
You have a value creation mindset. You understand that the reason we want to hire you is to profit from it, and no have hangups about it.
You need to be committed to working for four months.
The minimum amount of work per week is ~5 hours, but there are a bunch of opportunities for you to work with us as much as you want. In addition to TWW, we have a number of other podcasting opportunities that you can help us with.
How to apply:
Send us an email at info@theworldwanderers.com with:
- An audio recording of why you want this internship. The audio recording must have simple intro and outro music.
- Share with us anything that you have created in the past, including blog posts, videos, etc.
- When you can start
