If you want to travel, but don’t have money saved up, or if you are a teacher at home who dreams of travelling more, the world is literally at your fingertips with all the opportunities to teach abroad!
On this episode of the podcast Ryan sits down with Josh Lovestone to spill the beans on teaching abroad in Korea. Josh and his fiancé graduated from university in Canada with teaching degrees and a plan to get jobs teaching in Canada.
A couple years later they are racking up passport stamps like Jason Bourne. It all started with an opportunity to teach for two weeks in Korea that turned into teaching for a summer, and that turned into a whole year in Korea. Teaching abroad was such a rewarding experience that they are off to do it again; heading to Macau for two years! Josh talks about his story: what living in Korea was like, what teaching was like, and what the process is like finding a job. They also cover the reasons you should think about teaching abroad if you are a teacher at home, and how you can teach and tutor English students in Korea without a teaching degree.
